In February, members of Rose Tree Fire Co. (73) and Media Fire Co. (23) completed a two-part class to update the crews on their annual Hazardous Materials Operations Training. The class was taught by Matthew Poissant through the Delaware County Emergency Services Training Center. Classes were held at Station 73. The practical skills included a review of firefighting foam tools/equipment for large-scale incidents (thank you Chief 23 Gibson!), and a demonstration of the chemical detection equipment available from the Delaware County 911 Center hazardous materials response trailer (thank you Larry Bak!).
